RICS Valuation Registration Scheme

April 2011
RICS Valuation Registration Scheme

Five valuers at Rowland Jones Chartered Surveyors signed up to the RICS Valuation Registration Scheme (VRS) which came into affect in April 2011.

The scheme has been introduced by the RICS to ensure a high quality of valuations. The scheme reinforces professional standards required by Valuers which will be achieved through a system of regulatory monitoring.

As from April 2011, it is now mandatory for all formal valuations undertaken in accordance with the RICS Valuation Standards (the RICS Red Book) to only be undertaken by RICS members who are Registered RICS Valuers. Therefore Rowland Jones Chartered Surveyors are pleased to announce that five surveyors have registered on the scheme and will continue providing a full valuation service to our clients, monitored to a high standard.

The five valuers cover the range of property valuation needs. Sarah Williams and Alex O'Brian are actively undertaking commercial property valuations across South West Wales for a range of clients and purposes. Ruth Thomas is able to assist with specialist residential valuations, such as freehold reversions, lease extensions and fair rents valuations. Gareth Harries, who is an RICS recognized Arbitrator and Expert, specializes in commercial rent reviews and lease renewal valuations and negotiations. Rowland Jones undertakes valuations and sales of plant and machinery and all types of business assets.
